Welcome to The Caribbean SandCastle, a luxurious and avant-garde villa suspended on columns above a spectacular beach. An impressive feat of engineering and architecture, The Caribbean SandCastle brings you closer to the sand and water than any home on the Caribbean. This beautiful pink-sand beach is lapped by shallow water that is usually as calm as a lake. Caribbean SandCastle faces west so you can enjoy the most wonderful sunsets over the sea every evening from your decks and windows.
Caribbean SandCastle, formerly Cool Cloud House, is now under new ownership. The owner added a NEW BEACHFRONT POOL AND HOT TUB! There is a $500 charge if you choose to have the pool/hot tub heated from October through April. The charge is $300 May through September.
The Caribbean SandCastle is located on Alabaster Beach, one of the most stunning and pristine beaches in the Caribbean, featured on the cover of Conde Nast Traveler's December 2012 issue.
Remodeled in 2021 and decorated with custom contemporary furnishings, The Caribbean SandCastle has a spacious interior plus extensive wrap-around decks and outside space. The Caribbean SandCastle’s great room, suspended over the beach, is divided into three spaces. The Entertainment area has a flat-screen TV, DVD, and hi-fi sound system. The kitchen, dining area, and breakfast nook offer contemporary cooking and dining with extensive beach and ocean views. The ultra-modern kitchen features all stainless-steel appliances including French-door refrigerator, glass top range, wall oven, dishwasher, and microwave. The third space, the Chill Out area, hovers over the sea, giving a view and proximity to the water found in few houses anywhere in the world. Both the Chill Out Room and the Entertainment area have sofa beds (a total of 2 sofa beds in all).
The Caribbean SandCastle has four bedrooms, each with a luxurious bath (either en suite or across the hall) and an ocean-view deck. Two of the baths have showers; the other two have shower/tub combinations. Watch the sunset from your bedroom window, or step onto your deck for a morning coffee, feed the birds or fish, and listen to the Caribbean lapping on the sand. Two bedrooms have king beds, one has a queen bed, and one has twin beds that can be converted to a king.
Outside on the beach, beneath the elevated platform of the house, The Caribbean SandCastle has a large shaded dining area where you can grill your catch of the day and dine on the water’s edge. An outdoor shower is also located nearby at the back of the house for easy access to rinse off.
Amenities at The Caribbean SandCastle include full AC, WIFI, Apple TV, advanced water purification system, and laundry room with a washer and dryer. Two paddleboards and two kayaks are provided, including a large three-person kayak well equipped for fishing or taking a longer journey.
The town of Governors Harbour, a ten-minute drive from the property, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.
Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, where everyone knows everyone, is known for being very safe. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks, bikes. You can have a charter captain take you out for excursions of various types.

This house is exactly as the pictures show it to be! The house is perfectly located between James Cistern and Governors Harbour and only about a 50 minute drive from N. Eleuthera airport. We stayed at the Caribbean Sand Castle for some much needed rest and relaxation. It completely exceeded our expectations. The house is absolutely beautiful and is exactly as pictured. It is very spacious and there are numerous locations both inside and out to relax, enjoy a good book, or simply sit and enjoy the view. We also thoroughly enjoyed the available kayak and paddle boards as the water is unbelievably beautiful, calm, and refreshing. We will absolutely be back and I would highly recommend the house to anyone needing some peace and tranquility or anyone who likes to stay busy on the water. The pool was a wonderful treat as well! There is something to do for everyone. I also enjoyed chatting with the locals at the nearby shops as they were so warm and welcoming. Can’t wait to get back!

My husband, Marcus, and I fell in love with this villa and Eleuthera in July 2018. So much so that we took my brother and sister-in-law back two weeks ago and it DID NOT disappoint. We will be returning AGAIN soon.
The inside of the property is clean and spacious. The kitchen is stocked with cooking appliances and some spices.
All other condiments must be purchased. Each bedroom came with a nice AC unit which kept us cool when we needed it at night. Plenty of beach towels and bathroom towels are provided but there is a washer and dryer there is needed to use. I would suggest letting the towels air dry outside though.
We ended up with locals Brenda and Patrick cooking for us our first night (lots of places closed on Sundays) and we were going to have time to shop and didn't really want to cook and clean. It is highly recommended! We ended up with leftovers for 2 additional nights.
Another recommendation is Mo Sweets Bakery. She made the most delicious strawberry cheesecake and will deliver right to the house. We picked at it all week.
The entire house has a wraparound deck which is nice but we rarely used it as we spent all our time in the water or traveling to different sites/beaches on the island. Cool Cloud did add some additional deck couch seating in case you want to lounge up there.
As people have mentioned, the beach chairs are lacking a bit but they are still usable. We again brought an even bigger inflatable raft this year and a new pump. It has been donated to Cool Cloud for future renters as it is nice to just chill on the water. There is also an extension cord and anchor that will hold the raft in place. Look for the center-block in the water and attach the anchor to it. There are a few kayaks to use and we took them during low tide to the island just north of us. It was a hike but ended up seeing a shark!

Cool Cloud is located on one of the most beautiful beaches on Eleuthera. The location is perfect with easy access to Governor's Harbour and Rainbow Bay. The house is perfect--clean, modern, with every amenity. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bedrooms are comfortable and the furnishings are gorgeous. We were two couples and the house provided ample privacy...each couple had their own wing of the house! The views are spectacular and the newly replaced windows and doors worked great. We have been to Eleuthera many times and this house is perfection. This was the first trip to the island with the other couple we traveled with and they fell in love with the island and the house. We do encourage the owners to purchase new portable beach chairs and umbrellas as the ones provided were not usable. However, we rarely went to other beaches with Alabaster Bay being nearly perfect. We would stay here again and again. Sonya, the caretaker, is incredibly responsive and helpful (we did have an AC problem on the first night and the repairman was there within 30 minutes to fix it!) The team at Eleuthera Vacation Rentals was responsive, helpful and so accommodating. It was the perfect vacation.

We had a great stay at Brandons house. The house was immaculate with lots of thoughtful details like yeti travel mugs, brand new umbrellas and beach chairs, usb charging station, etc. By far the best part though is the beach! Beautiful calm water perfect for our group of 5 kids to play in. The only part of the house that wasn't exactly what we had hoped for was the location right on the main road. This made it loud at night if you left the windows open on that side of the house but as soon as we switched to sleeping with the AC it wasn't a problem. The pool wasn't finished yet but we are already planning a return trip to check it out! Brandon and his entire crew were super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

My wife Amber and I wanted a secluded vacation in the Caribbean to celebrate our wedding, and boy was Cool Cloud the PERFECT spot for what we wanted! Nestled right off the main “highway” about 5 minutes from Governors Harbor Airport, Cool Cloud is a nicely gated property with the beach and calm crystal clear Caribbean waters right out your door. The beach is in Pristine shape and so secluded, that we saw 1 person walk by us the whole week we were there.
The inside of the property is nice as well with a fully loaded kitchen to cook anything in. We caught fresh fish and were able to cook it with ease in the kitchen here. The bedroom came with a nice AC unit which kept us cool when we needed it at night. Having cable and WiFi was handy as well for the one night we stayed in and relaxed to some old episodes of Friends while eating our fresh fish we had spear fished that day.
The wraparound deck is a wonderful touch and a great place to sit and star gaze at night as you listen to the waves gently break on the beach.
There were plenty of chairs and toys to play with, although we brought our own giant inflateable raft to use in the ocean since there is no pool here. We did leave the raft and electric pump for the next lucky guest!
Cool Cloud will forever be enshrined in our memory as the best villa in the Caribbean for a low key and easy living vacation we require from time to time. We’ve island hopped to a few spots in the Caribbean and Cool Cloud on Eluthrea may be our number one spot. We’re already thinking about returning again in 2019!!

We enjoyed a week at Cool Cloud. The house and beach are lovely and the sunsets magnificent! The location is great for groceries and exploring the island. We made it to the fish fry in Governors Harbor and Lighthouse beach, then went north to Jeans Bay dock and ferried over to Spanish Wells. We loved our beach too and spent some days around the house. Although we never met any property managers or maintenance people, we were comfortable with most of it. The house sits tightly between the beach and the highway and the traffic noise and headlights were heavy on weekend nights. The freezer door handle was barely holding on at the top screw and a cabinet door handle came off. Otherwise the house was in good condition. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. The bathrooms were quite dark. If you wear makeup or need to use a mirror, the living room had enough light and we all used the mirror in there. Things we loved: comfortable beds, pillows and bedding, ample towels, great water quality, great a/c, safe decks and steps, location to points of interest. Things we didn't love: no dispenser for 5 gal water bottles, no serving bowls or plastic food storage containers, no mirrors or tvs in bedrooms, rusty old beach chairs. Overall, we enjoyed the house. I would have fixed a couple things had there been a screw driver. These places take abuse from renters I know. Stay here folks, you'll enjoy it!

Cool Cloud House is a beautiful property overlooking a stunning beach. The water is crystal clear and the perfect depth for children. The view from the house is incredible. When we arrived the house was spotless and the floor plan is great for groups. The owner had just installed new windows and doors. We did have quite a few bugs in the house that I think were coming in at the bottom of doors that had some gaps. This is just FYI and hopefully has been fixed. The only complaint is lack of beach furniture. There were blue lounge chairs but they were broke and rusted and not useable. Most of our time was spent on the beach and settling on towels was uncomfortable. This house is way too classy to not have good beach furniture. I would definitely rent this house again!
